Questions often asked about the calendar, and their answers:
What do those symbols for phases of the moon mean?
New moon (dark - usually not visible at all)
Full moon (entirely bright)
The same symbols are currently used on the southern hemisphere as well, although the actual appearance of the moon in the first and last quarter is opposite of the symbols.
How accurate are the phases of the moon?
The phases of the moon are usually within 1 minute of the correct time (but in less than 0.1 % of all calculations, where the moon phase is just around midnight, the wrong date might be displayed).
The date is calculated based on a city in the corresponding country and should be correct for the time zone of that city. For countries with many time zones it will soon be possible to select city to calculate the moon phases for.
There is also a separate Moon Phase Calculator available, that displays local time in addition to the date.
How can I find when a given holiday was in a given year?
The calendar know holidays for some countries, but a lot of countries are
still without holidays, if you have some information to help improve the
service, please send an email to email@example.com.
